Open Path™ The Family-Building Resource of Northern California was established in 2007. It evolved from the Northern California Chapter of Resolve. We are a non-profit organization continuing to offer information, support and resources about all family-building options for men and women facing fertility challenges or considering adoption as a way to family.

Our mission at Open Path is to provide timely, compassionate support and a balanced, educated perspective to all regardless of age, race, gender or sexual orientation who are experiencing infertility or have had difficulty in building their families. We strive to respect the rights and feelings of all parties involved, while increasing awareness of fertility and adoption avenues through education, peer support and community outreach.

Open Path is predicated on the belief that family building is a matter of choice. Our goal is supporting women and men in making decisions that are best for them. We help people become educated in making choices for family building (assisted reproductive alternatives, adoption, and egg donation, sperm donation, and embryo donation, gestational or traditional surrogacy) or remaining child free.

Open Path continues to educate and support these new families on their journey towards parenting after infertility.
